AFA Real Estate

Founded in 1981 in Calheta, Madeira, Grupo AFA has grown into one of the region’s largest privately owned business groups. The company originated in construction and engineering and later expanded into real estate, tourism, energy and industrial activities. Construction and development remain at the core of the group’s operations.

The group’s real estate activities are managed through AFA Real Estate, which oversees the full development cycle from land acquisition and design to construction, sales and asset management. According to company information, more than 700 residential units are currently in development across Madeira, the Azores and mainland Portugal. Flagship projects include the Savoy Residence developments in Madeira and Savoy Residence | D’Ávila in Lisbon. One of the distinguishing characteristics of the group is its ability to act as both developer and construction contractor, maintaining direct control over project delivery.
